Neuzugänge
Hey Hi Hallo :)
Endlich komme ich mal dazu einen Neuzugängepost abzutippen. Dieser Post ist lange überfällig und diese Bücher habe ich im Juni und Juli und ich glaube sogar Mai gekauft ... aber nunja, es ist an der Zeit sie vorzustellen :) 
"Sleeping Giants" - Sylvain Neuvel:

Dieses Buch war ein Spontankauf im Buchladen, wie so oft. Das Cover hat mich förmlich in seinen Bann gezogen, ich konnte nicht anders obwohl ich gar nicht auf der Suche nach einem Buch war, ich musste es aus dem Regal ziehen. Der Klappentext hat mich dann endgültig überzeugt. Außerdem ist das Buch ausschließlich in Form von Interviews geschrieben und ich bin immer offen für neue Textforme. Ich wurde auch nicht enttäuscht. Die Story ist echt interessant und trotz Interview Stil lernt man alle Charaktere gut kennen. Aber jetzt dauert es ein Jahr bis Teil 2 erscheint und ich will nicht so lange warten :D

Dieses Buch hat Emma Watson für ihren Book Club auf Goodreads (Our Shared Shelf) ausgesucht. Es war das Buch für Juni, leider kam ich nicht dazu es im Juni zu lesen aber nunja, es wird denke ich das nächste sein was ich nach meinem momentanen Buch lesen werde. Ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt. Es ist eine Graphic Novel und die verlinkte Edition besteht aus Teil 1 und 2.

Letzten Monat hatten wir in einer Vorlesung einen Gastvortrag und dabei gings um David Mitchell. Die Frau die den Vortrag gehalten hat, hat so begeistert von seinen Büchern gesprochen und ich wollte mir das Buch schon kaufen seit ich den Film gesehen habe und jetzt hab ichs endlich :)

Hier siehts in etwa genauso aus wie bei Cloud Atlas. Ich war an der Uni bei einer Guest Lecture über "Maps in Fantasy Universes" und da gings hauptsächlich um Tolkien und Sanderson. (Es war super!) Ich wollte schon länger was von Brandon Sanderson lesen, aber die meisten seiner Bücher sind so lang und dazu hab ich im Moment leider keine Zeit, aaber The Rithmatist ist nicht so lang und klingt wirklich interessant also ... :) Bin gespannt ;)

Dieses Buch ist die Fortsetzung von "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", was mir sehr sehr gut gefallen hat deshalb ... naja deshalb Band zwei, den ich auch gerade lese :)

Ein weiterer Spontankauf. Das Cover sah viel versprechend aus und ich finde der Klappentext macht das ganze richtig spannend. Mal sehen wann ich nochmal in der Stimmung für Horror/Thriller bin dann steht dieses Buch definitiv ganz weit oben.

Dies ist das letzte Buch im Giver Quartett. Diesen März/April hab ich die ersten drei Bücher ("The Giver", "Gathering Blue" und "Messenger") gelesen und fand alle drei wirklich gut. Ich bin gespannt wie die Story zu Ende geht und hab auch vor das Buch sehr bald zu lesen wenn ich nochmal Zeit habe.

Dieses Buch musste ich für die Uni lesen und das ging auch ganz schnell weil es nur ein Drama von 120 Seiten glaube ich ist. In dem Kontext in dem wir es gelesen haben wars ganz interessant, ansonsten weiß ich nicht ob SO sehr zu empfehlen ist.

Dieses Buch ist geschrieben von Sebastian Fitzek unter dem Pseudonym Max Rhode. Wobei Max Rhode der Hauptcharakter in Fitzeks Roman "Das Joshua Profil" ist. Da ich diesen bald lesen möchte habe ich "Die Blutschule" zuerst gelesen, auch wenn das eigentlich nicht nötig ist. Aber es ist kurz und naja :) Allerdings wars vom Genre her nicht ganz meins und hat mich zeitweise etwas verstört. Aber es war gut geschrieben und blieb bis zum Schluss spannend.

Dies ist der dritte Band der FABLES Reihe. Die hier abgebildeten und verlinkten sind die Sammelbände in denen jeweils 4-5 Issues gebunden sind. Der dritte war okay, aber nicht ganz so gut wie Band 2. Vielleicht auch weil es hier eben eher um Liebe und das Privatleben der Fables ging. Im nächsten Band gehts aber wohl wieder richtig los.

Wie ich gerade gesagt habe, ich denke, dass dieser Band nochmal besser wird als der letzte. Nicht, dass der letzte schlecht war sondern eher etwas slow paced. Sobald ich nochmal in der Stimmung für ein Comic bin werd ich das hier lesen :)

Band 11, 12 und 13 sind neu bei mir eingezogen :) Band 10, 11 und 12 hab ich auch vor sehr kurzer Zeit gelesen und jetzt muss ich nochmal etwas langsamer machen weil die neuen Attack on Titan immer nur so im 2 Monats Takt erscheinen also ... sucks ...

Auch hier hab ich mir nur eine andere Ausgabe gekauft, denn das Buch hatte ich schon vorher auf dem SuB. Aber ich wollte unbedingt die Penguin English Library Edition, weil sie so hübsch ist :)

WOW!
Das waren jetzt alle Bücher die ich im Mai und Juni gekauft habe.
Das abzutippen hat länger gedauert als ich dachte, da ich nicht immer ewig lange am Stück Zeit habe.
Aber jetzt hab ichs ja geschafft und kann ihn endlich hochladen. Jetzt heißts nur noch Daumen drücken, dass die Bilder und auch sonst nichts nicht nochmal rumspringen ;) Dabei hab ich bei Blogger manchmal Pech leider :D
Und jetzt frag ich mich natürlich: Kennt ihr welche der Bücher?
Habt ihr welch davon gelesen?
Irgendwelche Empfehlungen?

AntwortenLöschen"Sleeping Giants" klingt auf jeden Fall ungewöhnlich und durch die Interview-Form bin ich erst recht interessiert. Warten auf Fortsetzungen kann ich aber so gar nicht, darum vergesse ich das mal ganz schnell wieder und werde dann hoffentlich wieder daran erinnert, wenn die Reihe komplett ist. :D
Die Penguin English Library Editionen sind alle so super schön, aber bei mir gewinnt bei Klassikern leider meistens das ebook, weil es die ja oft gratis oder für ein paar Cent gibt. Einerseits natürlich gut, aber so muss ich auf die hübschen Printausgaben verzichten. :D
Blogger macht wirklich sehr gerne mal Probleme mit den Bildern, aber sieht alles noch richtig aus.
Gelesen habe ich nur City of Glass, aber das war bisher mein Lieblingsband der Reihe, denke ich. Ich habe aber auch erst bis zum 4. gelesen. :D
